Welcome to our second installment of Fixter’s Finds. A few weeks back, I shared the story of A Statue of Liberty Figurine. And this week, I’m sharing another one of my favorite house flipping finds from Denver, CO: A low rider figurine.

Our Denver-based house flipping company acquires over 50 properties a year with the goals of building long-term relationships and cultivating win-win-win situations for all parties involved – the seller, the flipper and the buyer.

At Fixters, we work hard to connect with our sellers and remain sensitive to the unique situations they are going through. We see a wide range of homes from hoarding situations to abandoned estates — each with their own treasures. Every property’s story is different.

It feels good to take the worst house in a neighborhood and turn it into one of the best. We constantly hear “thank you” from neighbors for the work we do on distressed homes. We’ve even had neighbors bring us fresh baked banana bread!

Here's the story.

One of the items we found that was incredibly fun was at a house called Mercer. When we got into the house, we learned a pretty amazing fact. The previous owners kept pot-belly pigs IN the house. In addition to the pigs, they also had sugar gliders living inside. For those of you that don’t know, sugar gliders are basically a flying squirrel. So not only were there pigs living inside with the owners, but there were also three sugar gliders, hiding behind furniture and jumping from thing to thing.

We love finding these kinds of forgotten items in homes that we purchase, and keep them around to put a smile on our faces for those days we need a little extra pick-me-up around the Fixters office. Do you have thoughts on who Hulk Hogan’s friends are in the car? Sound off in the comments below!
